Sixkiller destroys heavily favored 17th ranked UCLA in a 61-20 UW route.

1969: An Ashland, Oregon all-state high school quarterback, as well as an all-conference basketball guard and baseball pitcher.
1970: Sept. Named back of the week by the Associated Press.
1970: Oct. 17, Completed 30 passes for a total of  341 yards against University of Southern California. (30 completed passes in one game is still a UW record in 2008)
1970: Oct. 24, Passed for 360 yards to defeat Oregon State 29-20.
1970: Nov. 14, Passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns to upset the 17th ranked heavily favored UCLA Bruins 61-20.
1970: Averaged 36.2 passing attempts per game. (Still a UW record in 2008)
1970: Completed 18.6 passes per game. (Second highest in UW history.)
1970: Averaged 230.3 passing yards per game in 10 games.  1972: Through 1970-72 Sonny averaged 28.96 pass attempts per game.  (Still a UW record in 2008)
1970: Led the nation in passing as a sophomore with 2,303 yards, and threw 15 TDs. 1972: Completed 385 passes in 28 games. (Still a UW record in 2008)
1970: Took the Huskies from a miserable 1-9 losing record to a respectable 6-4 winners. 1972: Completed 13.75 passes per game thru his 1970-72 career. 
1971: UW Captains: Sonny Sixkiller, Al Kravitz, Rick Huget and Steve Anderson. Record: 8-3-0 winning record. 1972: Career passing attempts... 811 in 28 games. (Still a UW record in 2008)
1971: Sept. 17, passed for 387 yards against Purdue. UW wins 38-35 1972: Set 15 team passing records during his career at the UW. He passed for 5496 total yards on 811 attempts and 385 completions, with 35 touchdowns and had a passing rating of 106.06.
1971: October 4, Sixkiller appears on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He is only one of three Huskies to have ever made the cover. 1974: Plays football for Toronto in the Canadian Football League. (CFL)
1971: Passed for 2,068 total yards. 1975: Quarterbacked the World football League Honolulu, Hawaiians.
1972: UW Captains: Sonny Sixkiller, Bill Cahill Record: 8-3-0 winning record. 1985: Inducted into UW Hall of Fame.
1972: Sept. 23, Down 21-0 at halftime, Sixkiller and the Huskies roared back with 22 unanswered second-half points to win 22-21. 1987: Inducted into the American Indian Hall of Fame in 1987.
1972: Became the first Huskies quarterback with back-to-back 2,000-yard in the 1970 and 71 seasons. 2009: Still holds several UW passing records.
