During the era in
which these great
athletes competed,
there where no sports
shows like ESPN,
Fox Sports TV
or home video
recorders to record or
showcase their
tremendous talents on
a daily basis.
We
need your financial
support:
Photo
and video licensing
are extremely
expensive costing us
thousands of dollars
each year. Example:
We created a website
on a local basketball
legend and paid $250
for the rights to use
his photo on the home
page. The photo was
taken by Sports
Illustrated in 1978.
You would think that
if we wanted to use
that same photo on the
same website on a
different page that it
would be free. No
Way... we had to pay
an additional $200 to
use the exact same
picture.
We
ended having over
twenty different
photos of the
basketball legend
posted the on his
website costing us
nearly $3,000. And
that's not even
counting website
development, monthly
updates, hosting fees,
research team and
video which costs much
more than photos to
license.
It
is estimated that
websites created for
each Sports Legend
will cost
approximately $4,000.
